Geoffrey Keezer

Geoffrey Keezer is a Grammy-winning pianist, composer, arranger, and producer known for his virtuosity and wide-ranging musical influences. A native of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Keezer moved to New York in 1989 and became the final pianist to join Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers. He has since performed and recorded with artists including Ray Brown, Roy Hargrove, Joshua Redman, Diana Krall, Wayne Shorter, Dianne Reeves, Sting, and Christian McBride.
Free student clinics begin at 4:30 PM followed by the concert at 7:30 PM. Student's and music educators must present a student/employee ID at entry with their ticket.
General concert admission tickets are $40 + ticketing fees.

Career
Keezer’s extensive recording career spans jazz and musical traditions from Latin America, Hawaii, Okinawa, and Peru. His compositions have been commissioned by Carnegie Hall Jazz Orchestra, the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, and other leading organizations. He is a faculty member at The Juilliard School and a Yamaha artist.
Awards and Honors
Keezer's honors include a 2023 Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition for “Refuge” and a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Jazz Album for Áurea.
