Jazzmeia Horn is a Grammy-nominated vocalist and composer known for her remarkable vocal range, adventurous improvisation, and distinctive approach to the jazz tradition. A graduate of Dallas’ Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, she has emerged as one of the leading voices of her generation.
Free student clinics begin at 4:30 PM followed by the concert at 7:30 PM. Student's and music educators must present a student/employee ID at entry with their ticket.
General concert admission tickets are $40 + ticketing fees.

Contemporary Ideas
Horn draws deeply from the jazz canon while incorporating contemporary ideas and experimentation into her music. As a vocalist, songwriter, and bandleader, her work explores themes of family, love, spirituality, resilience, and personal freedom. Her performances combine technical virtuosity with an expressive, highly individual style, establishing her as an important voice in contemporary jazz.
Honors
Her honors include winning the 2013 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition and the 2015 Thelonious Monk Institute International Jazz Competition, as well as receiving multiple Grammy Award nominations, including nominations for A Social Call and Love and Liberation.
